The Russian Gymnastics Association issued a statement on the 11th local time announcing that the country's gymnasts and referees will return to the international arena as neutral. Russian trampoliners have been identified to compete in the World Cup series in Portugal (July 5-6), Germany (September 20-21), Bulgaria (September 27-28) and France (December 3-5), according to the press service of the Russian Gymnastics Federation.

The Russian Gymnastics Federation has announced that the country's athletes will return to international competitions.

In addition, Russia plans to send athletes to compete at the World Trampoline Championships in Madrid from November 2 to 10 and the World Trampoline Junior Championships from November 10 to 17. Due to the Russia-Ukraine conflict, the International Gymnastics Federation banned Russian and Belarusian athletes from participating in the competitions it hosts from March 2022.

The International Gymnastics Federation has since eased restrictions to allow athletes from both countries to compete as neutrals, but banned them from team events. In April 2023, the Russian Gymnastics Federation said that despite being granted neutral status, Russian gymnasts will not participate in competitions organized by the International Gymnastics Federation because a number of athletes have been unjustifiably and prejudicedly denied neutral status.
